This Privacy Policy explains how Webective ("we", "our", "us") collects, stores, and protects your information when you use our browser extension ("Service").

1. Changes in Our Service

• As of May 25, 2025, user registration and all server-based features have been discontinued.
• All previously stored server data will be deleted within 90 days.
• Users can request immediate deletion of any remaining server data by contacting us at info@webective.com.
• When users update to the latest version of the extension, their saved data is automatically downloaded locally to make the transition smooth.

2. Data Storage & Handling

• The extension now stores all data locally on your device.
• No more server communication or sharing functionality.
• Layouts can be exported locally in an encoded (non-human-readable) format.

3. Your Data & Layouts

The extension does not actively store or process your name, email, or passwords. However, if you save layouts containing URLs with sensitive info (e.g., names, email addresses in query parameters), those URLs will be stored locally as part of the layout.

You are responsible for the URLs you save. Avoid storing sensitive or confidential data in your saved layouts.

4. Layout Deletion & User Controls

• The extension provides an option in the settings to delete all layouts with a single click.
• Users can also manually delete individual layouts or perform a full export of their data.

5. Security & Privacy

• Since all data is stored locally, its security depends on your device's security.
• We don’t access, collect, or process your data.
• We strongly advise you to:
  • Avoid saving sensitive information in URLs.
  • Regularly review and clean up saved layouts.
  • Back up your layout data securely if needed.

6. GDPR & User Rights

• Users have the right to request the deletion of any server-stored data until it is fully deleted after 90 days. Contact us at info@webective.com.
• Users are in full control of their locally stored data.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our extension is not designed for users under 13.

8. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if necessary. You are responsible for reviewing updates periodically.
