Get Started
Although you have the option to create a user account, it is not mandatory in order to use the extension. You can enjoy all the useful and important features even without registration. Just click on the Use Without Registration button.
Creating a new account takes only a few moments. To get yours, click on the Create New Account button at the bottom.
Add Your First Window Layout
If you haven't done it yet, arrange your browser windows the way you want and open all the tabs (websites) you need. If you have multiple opened tabs required for a window or if you use multiple monitors, don't worry, everything will be saved!
Now you are ready to save your first window layout! Open the extension again and click on the New Snap button. The word "Snap" stands for a snapshot of your browser windows.
Just name your window layout as you like and click on SaveCongratulations! This Snap is now always available to you.
Restore a Layout
Would you like to restore the saved window layout? Nothing's easier! Pick a Snap from the list and simply click on the round button. That's it!
Share a Layout
If you want to share a layout with a colleague or a friend, just use the round button.
It is important to note that the recipient must have a SnapzBack account to receive the layout. While you can share layouts as an unregistered user, you cannot receive them.
It is crucial to ensure, before sharing, that the opened tabs are not containing sensitive data. After that, enter the recipient's SnapzBack account e-mail address and click on Share
Settings
Customize the extension's behavior to your liking. There are various settings to control how layouts are restored.
You can get a more detailed description for each setting by hovering your cursor over the icon next to its name.
Import Locally Saved Layouts After Registration
Explore our extension freely without registration, and when you decide to register, unlock the power to import locally saved window layouts.
Log in, then simply use the Import Local Snapz button. This option is only visible if you haven't added layouts to your registered account yet.
Export and Transfer Your Tab List
The export to HTML feature allows you to download a list of all your saved tabs across multiple layouts as an HTML file. This is useful for accessing your tabs on devices that do not support browser extensions, such as mobile phones or tablets.
To use this feature, open the extension settings page and select Export All Tabs as HTML to download the file. The HTML file will include all your layouts and the tabs within each layout.
Transfer the HTML file to your mobile device via e-mail, cloud storage, or file transfer. Open the file in your mobile browser to see all your layouts and tabs, allowing you to access the websites directly.
Logout Options
Our extension offers two convenient logout options to help you manage your account across different browsers and devices:
Logout From This Browser This option allows you to log out from the current browser session. Whether you are using Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, you can easily log out of your account in that particular browser without affecting your sessions on other devices or browsers.
Logout From All Devices For enhanced security and control, this option enables you to log out of your account on all browsers and devices simultaneously. This is particularly useful if you want to ensure your account is secure across multiple devices or if you are changing devices. Using this option will log you out from all active sessions, including those on different browsers and devices.
Choose the logout option that best suits your needs to maintain control and security over your account.
Data Sync Across Browsers and Devices
Unlock the full potential of our extension by creating a user account. While local accounts store browser window layouts locally and restrict access to data across different browsers on the same device, a user account securely stores your data in our database. This allows convenient access to your layouts on any browser and device where you use our extension.
User Account Management
To check your account details and find account-related settings, click on your e-mail address at the bottom of the extension interface, or navigate to the extension settings and select the Account Settings button. This will allow you to manage your account information and preferences.
Forgot your password? No worries! Easily request a new password to regain access to your account and continue enjoying personalized features without interruption. Use the I forgot my password button on the extension's Login screen. For your security, after resetting your password, you will be automatically logged out from all active browser sessions.
Additionally, should you ever decide to part ways with our extension, we offer a straightforward process to permanently delete your account. Navigate to the account settings, then click the Delete Account button and follow the instructions there.
